42nd Foshan Cerambath Facilitates Breakthrough for China's Intelligent Manufacturing: Southeast Asian Builders Embrace WOWSLAB's Innovative Big Slab Sintered Stone Technologies
Amidst global adjustments in the building materials sector, the 42nd China (Foshan) International Ceramics & Bathroom Expo (Cerambath) recently concluded. A pivotal event was the in-depth visit by a Southeast Asian construction delegation, led by the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Building Materials Association and the President of the Cambodia-Hong Kong Business Council, to WOWSLAB's headquarters in FOSHAN. This technological exploration may redefine Southeast Asia's building material market trends.
Breakthrough From The Market Saturation
The global ceramics industry faces structural challenges. Data reveals that 78% of Southeast Asia's tile market comprises homogenized low-end products, while Vietnam—the global fourth-largest tile producer (estimated) saw its 2023 capacity utilization drop below 65%. Gong Wei, Secretary-General of the China Building Ceramics & Sanitary ware Association, emphasized: "Traditional tile markets have entered a zero-sum phase, where product innovation is crucial."
Against this backdrop, a 36-member delegation from Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and the Philippines including builders, designers, and procurement specialists pay special attention to WOWSLAB's latest sintered stone big slab series. These big slabs surpass conventional porcelain tile limits, with breaking strength exceeding 4000 Newton and Mohs hardness above level 7, enabling Substitutability of natural marble stone across diverse applications.
Technical Dialogue Ignites Collaboration
During the visit, Vietnamese distributors raised pointed inquiries: "What is the water absorption rate? How do these slabs outperform traditional tiles and quartz in outdoor settings?" WOWSLAB president Henry Wu detailed the material's physical performance distinctions, prompting Cambodian designers to document key points. Upon learning that big slabs could also serve as cabinet doors, a procurement manager admired: "This fusion of aesthetics and functionality revolutionizes hospitality design."
Delegates particularly praised WOWSLAB's R&D focus. Mr. Mo of the Cambodia-Hong Kong Business Council remarked: "resisting the temptation of real estate speculation, WOWSLAB's dedication to material science exemplifies the spirit our industry needs".
Design-Driven Value Innovation
The Showroom's "Material Library" sparked intense discussion among designers. "From exteriors to interiors, flooring to cabinetry, WOWSLAB's systematic solutions redefine architectural possibilities," one architect observed. This holistic approach aligns with future design paradigms.
Accelerating Cross-Border Partnerships
After the visit, multilateral initiatives have emerged: Vietnamese distributors plan a Hanoi-based big slabs training center; Cambodian developers aim to prioritize the application of big slabs in 2025 projects; and the Philippine Builders Association proposes a local showroom of sintered stone.
Addressing Southeast Asia's demand, Henry Wu disclosed: "We are assembling multilingual technical teams to launch cross-border digital design support in Q4, enabling remote material selection guidance." Industry analysts suggest this "techno-diplomacy" not only opens new avenues for China's intelligent manufacturing but may also catalyze supply-side reforms in Southeast Asia's building material market.
